This image was taken down at Smiths Beach, Yallingup in the South West of Western Australia. The image was captured with a drone above a barreling wave that is “spitting” and appears to look like a ghosts face.
What is this “spit” you ask? When a hollow wave peels down the line, a mixture of air and spray from the lip's impact is caught between the falling lip line and the wave face. As the wave collapses inward, this air/spray mix looks for the easiest way out, through the open door at the end of the tube.
