Dunsborough Bay Sunrise

The waves were pretty average this morning as it was a small swell and a strong SSE wind. I woke up early and walked to the beach down the road from my house to shoot the sunrise, and it was amazing. The colours in the thick storm clouds were unreal and the sun was soaking up everything in its path.
Enjoy!

I woke up early to a strong ESE wind this morning and a small swell, so I headed to Margaret River to get some waves and photos. I ended up surfing for a couple of hours and took some photos after. The wind died off about mid morning and the waves were really fun.
Enjoy!

I experienced a bit of everything today and was stoked to be over in a secluded little bay on Cape Naturaliste that was protected from the wind. The school of salmon image was taken yesterday afternoon, this was as close as I could get to them with my wide angle lens, but there are plenty around at the moment.

The surf was not the best this morning and the conditions for photographing weren't the ideal, so I have shown in this email images taken from Bunker Bay on Tuesday night. The bay was dreamy on this night as we had cloud cover sweeping across the sky and a gentle south westerly wind turning the water glassy. I was shooting the shore break without my housing and getting extremely close to the miniature waves, making for some epic photos.
As i left at about 7:30, the sky lit up behind me with the most unreal sunset. I had to pull over on the side of the road at Eagle Bay Olives to get a shot.

I went down to Boneyards, Bunker Bay for the sunrise this morning, and although the conditions were tricky, there was still plenty of photo opportunities. The sunrise didn't produce the amazing colours I was hoping for as there was some thick cloud cover, but the images turned out better then I expected. The low lying sun lit up the waves from behind through pockets of the clouds, and I ended up staying out for a few hours.
Enjoy!

The waves were average today, so I decided to head to Boranup Forrest to capture some shots. This place is so magical, and every time I visit here, I always see something new. Its amazing that some of these Karri trees are centuries old, and stand so high that they appear to reach the sky.
Hope you enjoy the images, I know they are not from the beach, but I find they are equally as beautiful.

Monday, and the swell had dropped significantly from the weekend. Still plenty of fun waves around, and this little bank was still hanging around Sidewash in the corner of Smiths Beach. I am going to try my luck over the other side with this SSW wind, might manage to get a few shots that i'll post up tomorrow.

We had a spectacular storm roll through the South West region late on Tuesday Afternoon. I was lucky enough to be able to get down to Smiths Beach to take some water shots, and it was nothing short of amazing! There was not a breath of wind, ominous clouds and some intense lightning. I was in my element and ended up staying in the water until 8:00pm (much too my fiancés delight).
Just to let my subscribers know, I intend to send the emails daily (Monday to Friday) and usually upload and send the email on the same day that I shoot. I haven't done that as of yet as I am getting married this Saturday so I have been over the top busy with planning things for that. All should be sorted and back on track with the daily emails by the end of next week.
